Postybirb Test Post

Posted by ookamij64 - 1 day ago

This is a test of the Postybirb Automation System (or PAS), this is only a test.

Had this been an actual post, you would have to deal with lines upon lines of witty text along with several bits of snarky commentary on my own life. This is a self serving system.

Regardless, I’m just keeping this up until I can start using this more. Newgrounds, Weasyl, FurAffinity, and for the moment SoFurry would be getting the PostyBirb treatment until I decide to remove/add one account on the list. I had contemplated off and on about adding back Inkbunny, but at the moment – there’s not enough considering factors for me to say otherwise. SF has the groups and such that I like. FA isn’t half bad with the added feature to censor out untagged pics unless I decide to click them. Gentle reminder to please tag them if you can.

Sheezy and Pillowfort are the only ones exempt from the automation because reasons. PF has the capacity to receive the service, but because I use it on a daily basis it defeats the purpose of checking it. Tumblr doesn’t get the same treatment and because of how hostile it feels alongside the uncertainty of its future – not going to be bothering that for a good while.

I have nothing against PostyBirb and have suggested it to quite a few artists in the past so I hope it safes you some time. :)

The only thing to look out for if changes in NG (and other hosters) that might cause issues. Among other things, I've seen names getting lost in transfer and age ratings remaining at the default "E" - for works that "should" have been rated "M" or "A".
Logging in every 3 days or so should keep you covered, though. It's not as if the Moderation team would roast you alive when they see "Ah. PostyBirb..." but it 'is' something to keep an eye on if you ever submit spicier stuff.

Definitely have no intentions for the spicy content reaching here, but I'll be sure to keep this in mind somewhere. Only issue is that unless I'm on the PC, it's not exactly saving me time... 😅

Nonetheless, I can understand the moderation team being more careful in terms of mistakes in regards to the ratings since it can be fickle regardless of where the desirable location is online.
