Had this been an actual post, you would have to deal with lines upon lines of witty text along with several bits of snarky commentary on my own life. This is a self serving system.

Regardless, I’m just keeping this up until I can start using this more. Newgrounds, Weasyl, FurAffinity, and for the moment SoFurry would be getting the PostyBirb treatment until I decide to remove/add one account on the list. I had contemplated off and on about adding back Inkbunny, but at the moment – there’s not enough considering factors for me to say otherwise. SF has the groups and such that I like. FA isn’t half bad with the added feature to censor out untagged pics unless I decide to click them. Gentle reminder to please tag them if you can.

Sheezy and Pillowfort are the only ones exempt from the automation because reasons. PF has the capacity to receive the service, but because I use it on a daily basis it defeats the purpose of checking it. Tumblr doesn’t get the same treatment and because of how hostile it feels alongside the uncertainty of its future – not going to be bothering that for a good while.

Recently was able to get a new computer and thus, I now have PostyBirb! So there's a good chance I'll be giving this site another go since I still have a decent following here (compared to Itaku, which is probably the only one with nobody following, which is fine because I couldn't get used to the structure of the site and the odd tagging system. To me, it felt overwhelming. Although I don't feel the same when it comes to tagging items here since most of the time it does pop up suggestions to help finish them quickly. With Artfight rapidly approaching though, that means I'm trying to get myself prepared again. Most of it is just getting character sheets up for the ones that truly need it.

Hopefully with PostyBirb, most of the art places that I use will get the last few previous AF attacks up and going before that starts. Only one that doesn't get the treatment is probably Sheezy which is honestly not a huge loss. I tend to check that more often than not. Same could be said with Pillowfort. Admittingly, most of the time on PC I had been working on the Neocities site. Not much progress to show for it yet - but I'll eventually get to that point of deployment. Only posting the journal here live as it is, but for the other locations I can use this on I'll just do it through PB.

Long story short, I'm still against generative AI and I have a lot more distrust in them. I recently found out not one or two, but three sites were scraped by someone for use with an AI site. Which meant a lot of gathering data and sending in my "take my crud off now" to them and the user responsible. I don't name names in this mess and I hope karma holds them accountable in the end, but they're acting like they're not at all at fault.

For that reason, I had been stepping away from posting for a while. I had contemplated on deleting my presence from one of the three because of lack of usage, but not decided yet. I'm still very angry and stressed to set the decision in stone. The idea of having a persona of mine stolen artwork wise throws me into a fever pitch of not being nice. I had considered posting here again after that settles down.

I honestly don't anticipate using this as much as I used to when I first started. Last couple of things I would upload is the final few from the previous Artfight before I just let this go. I personally did want to give this place a fair try, but with what's been going on externally and personally I have had less incentive to post here...

I had been more inclined to post elsewhere just because I had easier access to what everyone else posts as I follow them. I still considered keeping this active in the off chance I do want to pick it back up again. Any place that really knocks down the AI stuff from mixing into the crowd feels like an instant win to me. I do understand AI has a place, but I believe it's not to take over for human creativity.

Carrd page has been getting updates as needed so I tend to keep that in my links section. Otherwise, FurAffinity; Weasyl; Sheezy for those that are able to access it; I use those for art. Socials are limited to SpaceHey, Mastodon, Pillowfort, and to a certain extent Tumblr. Personally can't see myself using Bluesky because I couldn't ever get my usage out of it.

I went ahead and put this at a T rating for the sake of me mentioning mental health in some fashion. I'm open to bumping it up/down as needed.

To be quick to the point: current events have been very rough on my personal health and I needed to get myself away for a while. I do not agree with what is going down in the States but it's not what is going to improve the current state of disarray. Most of my socials have been given the heads up on my absence when needed.

I personally have been worried about my own image here. I do admit to making the least impressionable actions and have been working on not repeating them. Even putting it into words is difficult enough... I ended up forgetting about NG after clearing browser cache and lack the effort to check a bit. Even now, I still feel pretty bad for checking in the background despite saying I'm going to be away.

Been trying to look for other character depository sites with no luck. Toyhouse, Unvale, and Character Hub have been tested a bit but I couldn't stick with the later and the former two were just messy for my mental health... If nothing else, I consider that my mind's way of saying "take a break".

So unfortunately, I still haven't been able to get to a point of being able to use PostyBirb again. Regardless, it's nothing worth being too bummed over and I'll make do with the situation. In other words, I'm resuming Artfight attack uploads from this previous year.

Even with the conclusion of this year's event, I haven't been able to really post them a whole lot to other locations aside from Tumblr and maybe CoHost to a certain extent... I have thought about doing it here whether it's FurAffinity, Weasyl, or even Newgrounds. In the end though, it'll be a while before it happens since I want to consider getting myself a PC again. Which means once I get PostyBirb again, it's back on!

I really have been dealing with personal burnout and need to give myself a small breather. Lately been playing a ton of Animal Crossing and Littlewood. The latter mainly because I'm so close to being finished with it! I'm contemplating on restarting again because I do like the gameplay even with the minor frustrations. Although I might just end up going for Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life instead to take it's place in my current backlog. Also got back into neopets as well but it's been an off and on type of interest...

While I had the account for a few months now, I finally can say I'm prepped for the upcoming Artfight.

I go by ookamij64 there so ignore the squiggles because I really hate Google and their Snapleaf app... I rather have this done on a PC. Hoping to get into Linux eventually with the way Windows OSes are going. Can't guarantee revenge pieces nor chains but I will do my best to be active there.

Pieces I created will be posted here eventually but after the whole shebang of winner announcement and such.

Mental health crash happened but I'm doing better and trying to get that situation fixed in the meantime. Still very exhausted but keeping my head up. A lot of factors have played into that mess occurring like heat sensitivity and the usual anxiety chewing on me like a chihuahua...

Currently been trying to figure out a decent way to implement art time for me. I had slowly been getting back into drawing even if it's by the way of just drawing challenges. Back when I started doing art socials again, I wanted to avoid the idea of drawing for the sake of a crowd and instead draw for myself and only post works that I can agree with myself that it's worth showing off. Easier said than done when you feel like every piece is worth showing off... I already dumped info on my previous experiences regarding art socials on Weasyl and FA so maybe check those out if you're curious?

I don't want to share art for the sake of fame and glamour. It's more for building a bit of a community and outer circle for myself. Regardless, I take the lack of any sort of reaction to heart and rather hard... It's still being worked on.

Blogger site had been discarded in favor of DreamWidth and I honestly don't regret the move. The site is very reminiscent of something like LiveJournal and offers a good amount of features for a free user. Image hosting is a bit on the crunched side but something like ImgBB is a nice alternative option for that feature. I will need to update the blog link since the current is no longer maintained. Posting one last thing there with notes on moving bases is considered.

I have been trying my best to use this for portfolio purposes, but problem with that is that I have a slim audience on other socials and well - it's easy to say that not a lot of likes can make it count as a worthy piece to share here...

Mostly work has been taking front and center as always, but just haven't been able to manage time for art lately. I do notice that if that occurs, mental health gets a bit shaky. I also thought about not using the journal feature here unless it's something important that pertains to this site specifically. Otherwise, I thought about just cheating and using my Blogger site more and adding a link to that for prosperity.

Imposter syndrome is kicking into high gear again and it has been leaking into other portions of my life. It's a real bummer considering that I know I've made some amazing progress, but according to it - not enough. I try to not dump too much personal issues here as well as anywhere in general, but I just wanted to drop an update for the curious folks.
